Officials with Wright County have issued a statement following a flood of phone calls earlier this week when the White House Budget Office announced that all federal grant and loan programs have been placed on a “pause” as of 4 PM Central Time Tuesday.
Wright County Health & Human Services said it was inundated with calls asking if programs like SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and MA (Medical Assistance) were included in the pause.
The word is that the pause issued by the White House does not involve programs like SNAP and MA because those programs providing funding directly to the individuals who receive the benefits and such programs look to be continuing unchanged.
