Wright County officials say that under a new reciprocity agreement with McLeod County, residents of Wright County may now bring household hazardous waste items to the McLeod County Recycling Facility.
Area residents will be allowed to drop off items such as paints, stains, aerosols, pesticides, bleach, pool chemicals, automotive fluids, drain cleaners, adhesives, fuels and solvents at the McLeod County facility at 1065 5th Avenue Southeast in Hutchinson.
Drop-off hours are 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. Officials suggest checking the McLeod County website for updated hours as they may extend some drop-off times to selected Saturday mornings.
Officials say the agreement between the counties will be in place while the expansion work continues at the Wright County Compost & Recycling Facility north of Buffalo.
