Wright County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Possible Firearm Discharge at a Moving Vehicle

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a possible firearms discharge from one vehicle towards another as the vehicles were traveling.

On July 17th at around 10:36 PM, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office received a report that shots had been fired at a vehicle by another vehicle as they were traveling southbound on Highway 101 in Otsego at around 10:20 PM.

Wright County Deputies responded to the scene and collected evidence indicating that the reporting party’s vehicle had been struck twice by gunfire.  No one in the vehicle was struck in the incident, and no one required medical attention.  When deputies arrived, the suspect vehicle was no longer at the scene.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored sedan with tinted windows.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Detective Rudolph at 763-682-7902.

The incident remains under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.  The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.
