Wright County’s jobless rate inched up in July.
New statistics from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development shows that Wright County’s non-seasonally adjusted jobless rate for July was 3.8 percent, up a tenth of a point from June, and up from 3.4 percent from July of 2024.
The July labor force in Wright County remained near 86 thousand, though it was down just over 300 workers from the previous record high of 86,197 workers in June.
New seasonally adjusted jobless numbers for the state of Minnesota in July show a 3.5 percent rate of unemployment, up two-tenths of a point from June, and up from the 3.2 percent rate last July.
The seasonally adjusted U-S unemployment rate of 4.2 percent was up one-tenth of a point from June, but equal to the 4.2 percent from the same period last year.
The U-S unemployment rate has only varied one to two-tenths of a point dating back to June of 2024.
