Wright County Unemployment Numbers Up Slightly in February

The county-by-county unemployment numbers for the month of February have been released, showing a slight increase for Wright County.

The new numbers from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development show that the non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for Wright County in February was 4.1 percent, up three-tenths of a percent from January’s 3.8 percent rate.

The local jobless rate was also 3.8 percent in February of 2024, and 2023.

Wright County’s labor force in February was measured at the highest it’s been since July of last year.

Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Minnesota in February was an even 3 percent, and has remained unchanged over the past five months.

The U-S seasonally adjusted jobless rate in February was 4.1 percent, up a tenth of a point from January.
