Wright County Woman Involved as Passenger in Single-Vehicle Crash in Southern MN

One person was injured in a single-vehicle traffic crash Wednesday evening in Freeborn County in south-central Minnesota.

The State Patrol reports that just before 9 PM, a Subaru Crosstrek SUV was southbound on Interstate 35 near Milepost 35 in Bancroft Township when it went out off control on a snow and ice covered stretch of road. The vehicle hit the guard rail, and bounced back toward the median cable barrier before coming to a stop.

The driver of the SUV, a 28-year-old man from Dodge Center was not injured. Also escaping injury was a passenger, 65-year-old Sandra Estey of St. Michael. One other passenger was injured. 30-year-old Jenna Lee of Dodge Center sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Mayo Clinic in Albert Lea.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, and the Clarks Grove Fire Department assisted at the scene.
