Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is advising residents that they have received several reports in recent days of a man going door-to-door in the Plymouth area saying he is from Wright-Hennepin, and is there to do an energy audit.
Officials say this individual has also asked to see copies of members’ electric bills, stating that he needs to scan a barcode on them.
Wright-Hennepin says this man or any company he is claiming to represent is not associated with the cooperative.
The company says Wright-Hennepin employees always have a company ID badge and a company vehicle. Contractors will also have a contractor / Wright-Hennepin ID badge and a Wright-Hennepin magnet on their vehicle.
