Young South Haven Woman Among Two Injured in Traffic Crash in Mora

A young woman from Wright County was one of two people injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash Thursday evening in the City of Mora.

Minnesota State Patrol officials report that shortly after 8 PM Thursday, a Hyunda Sonata passenger car was westbound on State Highway 23, and was attempting to make a turn to go south on Highway 65 when the car struck a Chevy Express van.

The driver of the Hyundai sedan, 22-year-old Janelle Marschel of South Haven sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was treated at the Welia Health Hospital in Mora.

A passenger in the Chevy Express van, an 11-year-old female, also was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the Mora Hospital. The driver of the van, 39-year-old Travis Gingras of Pine City, was not injured.

The State Patrol was assisted by the Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office and Welia Health.
