A new report finds that over three hundred million incremental pounds of dairy were sold in 2024 in the region. Officials say that getting the message out to generally younger consumers via social media platforms appears to be making a difference.
Last year, social influencer work resulted in more than 19 million impressions, and Midwest Dairy Board Chair and dairy farmer, Charles Krause of Buffalo, says expanding retail engagement remains top of mind…
“We did it last year, and we’re doing it again this year. We did an influencer farm tour, boot camp day kind of a thing. And actually I’ll be hosting in May at my farm we’re bringing in a bunch of Gen Z influencers, Tik Tok and Instagrammers.”
Krause says he’ll share animal care practices and discuss sustainability in hopes of leveraging a large social media following.
