While Governor Tim Walz is expected to announce soon if he’s running for a third term, the GOP field has another contender.
Representative Kristin Robbins, Republican from Maple Grove, has announced she’s running for governor…
“Minnesotans have been saddled with huge tax increases and debt, unsafe communities, education achievement has plummeted, and we have more than a billion dollars in fraud. And so I just felt like it’s time for me to jump in. I am a leader who will stop the insanity and bring commonsense back.”
Robbins made her campaign official Wednesday emphasizing fiscal responsibility for the state…
“I’m also an economist and I understand what will make Minnesota competitive, what will drive economic growth, so I feel I’ve got the best combination of skills and energy to put Minnesotans first and make state government work for them, not against them.”
Robbins has served District 37A in the Minnesota House since 2019, and represents local communities including Corcoran, Greenfield, Independence, Loretto, Maple Plain, Maple Grove, Medina, and other bordering communities and townships. She is the current Chair of the Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee, Vice Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, and is a member of the Taxes and Higher Education Committees.
Robbins joins Republicans Scott Jensen and Kendall Qualls who have also announced they’re running for governor.
