Wright County’s Planning and Zoning Office is advising county residents that some individuals may be receiving fraudulent emails requesting payment related to a Planning Commission or Board of Adjustment public hearing.
Officials say Wright County Planning & Zoning does not request payment in an email without first speaking with a resident directly. The department says it also does not bypass the public hearing process or ask applicants to make unexpected payments before their scheduled hearing.
