Annandale, Delano, Buffalo Celebrate America 250!

Wright County will celebrate our country’s 250th birthday today (Saturday), along with the rest of the state and nation. Locally, two of Minnesota’s oldest and biggest 4th of July celebrations continue.

In Annandale today, the annual 4th of July parade, fun at the carnival, bingo hosted by the Boy Scouts, and the crowning of new Annandale Ambassadors are a part of the daytime activities. Tonight, it’s music from The Fabulous Armadillos from 7 to 10 PM in the park, with fireworks at dusk. Complete Annandale 4th information is available at; www.annandale4thofjuly.org.

Events today in Delano for the 4th include the pickleball tournament, a 5K run followed by the state’s oldest and largest 4th of July parade highlight the morning activities. Throughout the rest of the day, there’s great music from Shane Martin, Jerry Frasier’s comedy magic, an all-class reunion under the tent, and tonight, the “70’s Magic Sunshine Band” at 6 PM on the main stage, and the fireworks spectacular at 10:30! Other activities today in the area include the annual water ski parade and boat parade on Lake Pulaski in Buffalo at 12 noon and 1 PM respectively.
