Becker Man Injured in Vehicle vs. Deer Crash near Fergus Falls

A Becker man was injured following a car vs. deer crash near Fergus Falls Sunday evening.

According to the State Patrol, a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 38-year-old Ashley Johnson of Becker was eastbound on I-94 in Otter Tail County when the vehicle struck a deer near mile post number 51.  The driver and a passenger, 15-year-old Anthony Pillatski of Becker, were not injured; however, a third passenger, 40-year-old Garrett Pillatzki, also of Becker, received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Fergus Falls Hospital.

All three passengers were wearing their seatbelts, no alcohol was involved, and roads were reported as wet in the 9:15 PM crash.

The State Patrol was assisted by Ringdahl EMS and the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.
