Big Lake Man Injured in SUV vs. Bicycle Crash Early Thursday Morning

A man from our area was injured in an SUV vs. bicycle crash early Thursday morning in the City of Big Lake.

The State Patrol report that just before 7 AM, a Honda SUV was westbound on Tarrytown Road in Big Lake, and was attempting to turn onto Highway 25. Meanwhile, a bicycle was southbound on Highway 25, and the bike and SUV collided near the intersection.

Injured in the crash was the bicyclist, 26-year-old Chase Williams of Big Lake. Williams was taken to the Monticello Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the SUV, 32-year-old Brooke Fisher of Big Lake, was not injured.

The Big Lake Police and CentraCare Ambulance assisted State Troopers.
