Triathletes from throughout Minnesota and even greater distances will be in Buffalo Sunday to compete in the 2026 Buffalo Graniteman Triathlon.
Athletes may compete individually or in 2 or 3 person relay teams, participating in either Sprint or Olympic distances.
Beginning with a swim in Buffalo Lake, the course passes through downtown and follows winding country roads with running and bicycling legs throughout the morning.
The event begins and ends at Sturges Park in Buffalo. Activity at the park is expected as early as 5:30 AM, with the race itself beginning at 8 AM. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 AM, and the race course will close at 12 noon.
Motorists are advised that traffic congestion is expected, and drivers are asked to be watchful for racers and bicyclists throughout the morning.
