Buffalo Woman Dies in Transport Bus and Automobile Crash at Buffalo Walmart Entrance

A Buffalo woman died in a Thursday morning traffic crash on Highway 25 in Buffalo near the Buffalo Walmart entrance.

The State Patrol reports that around 10:45 AM, a Buick passenger car was northbound on Highway 25, and was attempting to turn left to enter the Walmart parking lot. The Buick reportedly turned in front of a Trailblazer Transit transport bus that was southbound on Highway 25, and the vehicles collided at the intersection.

Killed in the crash was a passenger in the Buick sedan, 92-year-old Laura Hoffman of Buffalo. The driver of the Buick, 95-year-old Floyd Sawatzke of Buffalo, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Buffalo Hospital.

The driver of the transport bus, 29-year-old Kortnie Rhoads of Big Lake, was not injured.

The Buffalo Police and Allina Ambulance assisted State Troopers at the scene.
