A different kind of Halloween event will be held in Buffalo on Saturday.
The city is hosting “Howl in the Park” at the Gary Mattson Dog Park, giving families a chance to get their favorite pooch involved in the Halloween fun.
The event will be a costume contest for dogs, and their owners. Folks can stop by anytime between 10 AM and 12 noon and be photographed and judged on creativity, originality, and even a category for owner-pet costume coordination.
Prizes will be awarded for the Best Dog Costume, and the Best Dog / Owner Costume Duo.
Winners will be announced at 12 noon, those who can’t stay for the awards will be notified on how to pick up their prize.
The event is free, and open to the public.
