The City of Buffalo has received special recognition from the State Department of Health’s Environmental Health Division for outstanding commitment to protecting the community’s drinking water.
The award recognizes the City’s long-term dedication to safeguarding the municipal drinking water supply. The Department of Health’s certificate honors the efforts of the City of Buffalo which, state officials say, should serve as an example for communities and utilities across Minnesota that are seeking to protect drinking water quality for future generations.
Officials with the City of Buffalo say the entire Water Department is recognized for their continued commitment to excellence. A news release from the City also extended special recognition to Customer Service Director and Water Superintendent, Cara Hesse for leadership, coordination, and dedication to the cause of water protection, and to educating the community on the importance of how families and individuals can take part in the initiative.
