DFL to Rally at Multiple Health Care Facilities Across the State Tuesday

Minnesota DFL’ers have planned up to 20 rallies at various health care facilities across the state for today (Tuesday) in response to what that party feels could be the consequences of a prolonged governmental shutdown.

Supporters say the “Rally to Fight Back” is designed to highlight the increase in healthcare premiums as well as the loss of insurance for some Minnesotans that the DFL blames on Republicans in Washington. Democrats claim that hospitals and other health care facilities could be forced to close if the current policies continue.

Organizers say that Allina Health in Buffalo will be one of the locations they plan to rally at from 4 to 5 PM today (Tuesday). Numerous other such rallies are planned at various locations throughout the Twin Cities metro area, as well as in greater Minnesota.

Minnesota Republicans point to state-level DFL policies, federal actions by Democrats, and broader industry challenges as the primary causes for any potential closures.
