One driver was killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash in the City of Medina Saturday morning.
The State Patrol says shortly after 10 AM, a Mercedes-Benz passenger car was westbound on Highway 55 just west of Hennepin County Road 116 when it collided with a Ford F150 pickup that was southbound and was attempting to turn east onto Highway 55.
The driver of the Ford pickup, 68-year-old George Ehman of Cape Coral, Florida died in the crash. Authorities say he was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Mercedes passenger car, 75-year-old Randall Lofgren of Plymouth, and a passenger, 29-year-old Anthony Clarke, also of Plymouth, both sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Officers from the Medina, Plymouth and Corcoran Police Departments, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, Medina Fire Department, North Memorial EMS, and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner assisted State Troopers.
