The first of two special forums featuring the candidates in Minnesota Senate District 29 is planned for tonight (Wednesday) in Monticello.
Republican Michael Holmstrom, Jr. and DFL’er Louis McNutt, both from Buffalo, will discuss issues as a part of the forum at the Monticello Community Center hosted by the Monticello Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The evening will get started at 6 PM, with a one-hour question and answer segment on the Monticello school district levy question. The Senate District 29 forum will follow at 7 PM.
Thursday evening, the candidates will meet again, in a forum at the Delano City Hall. Thursday’s forum begins at 6:30 PM, and is hosted by the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce.
The November 4th vote will fill the seat left vacant after the unexpected death of longtime State Senator Bruce Anderson of Buffalo this past July.
