A funeral Mass is planned for Saturday in Annandale for a longtime retail grocery employee and manager in Wright County. Connie Nelson passed away April 11th at the age of 73.
Connie was a 1971 graduate of Annandale High School, and graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1975.
She was a respected employee and manager at several Marohn family grocery stores in Wright County including Red Owl, Marketplace, and Cub Foods.
She also was a sports enthusiast and loved bowling and softball. She was a player and coach on four women’s softball teams over the years.
Connie was also a lifelong member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale and served as a trustee, and member of the parish council and music ministry.
The funeral Mass for Connie Nelson is scheduled for Saturday, April 18th at 10:30 AM at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church of Annandale.
