Sunday Funeral Services Planned for Victim of Deadly Plane Crash at Buffalo Airport

Funeral services are planned for Sunday in Wright County for the victim of the deadly plane crash this past Sunday at the Buffalo Municipal Airport.

You’ll remember that according to the FAA, a replica Piper aircraft crashed while attempting to depart the airport around 4 PM on September 27th.

39-year-old Mikael “Mikko” Rovala of Montana, who also spent time in Minnesota, was killed in the crash, while another man from Wyoming was critically injured. The FAA and the NTSB are continuing their investigation of the crash.

Local services for “Mikko” Rovala are planned for Sunday at 6:30 PM at the Cokato Laestadian Church in Cokato. A service will also be held on Thursday, October 8th at the Phoenix Laestadian Lutheran Church in Cave Creek, Arizona.
