Many Wright County residents are finalizing plans for their Halloween celebrations for this weekend.
Halloween represents big business for many Minnesota retailers, who are expecting millions of dollars in seasonal spending this year…
“The National Retail Federation has said that Americans will spend about $13.5 billion this year. And here at Minnesota Retailers, we estimate that Minnesotans will spend about $230 million in spooky spending this season.”
That’s Minnesota Retailers Association President Bruce Nustad, who says, in keeping with tradition, candy still remains the top Halloween purchase, along with decorations and costumes.
