A head-on traffic crash early Wednesday evening in Albertville left two drivers with varying levels of injury.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened just after 6:15 PM Wednesday in the area of Jason Avenue Northeast and Kahl Avenue Northeast in the City of Albertville.
Authorities say that evidence and witness statements gathered at the scene indicated that two vehicles, one eastbound and the other westbound collided head-on at the intersection with Kahl Avenue Northeast.
Officials say the driver of the eastbound Audi passenger car, a 17-year-old male from St. Michael whose name was not released, sustained severe injuries in the crash and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
The westbound vehicle, a Ford Fusion, was driven by 20-year-old Tyler Brown of Otsego. Brown was also injured and transported to an area hospital. Details on the extent of his injuires have not been released.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash.
