Johnson Win’s McDonalds’s 3 Point Contest; Dahl to Attend SCSU

What a year for Tessa Johnson from STMA. Johnson, a senior on the varsity girls basketball team committed to national champion South Carolina, was named Star Tribune Metro Player of the year, Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year, was named to the McDonald’s All American team, and helped lead the Knights to a state championship in girls basketball with a  win over defending state champion Hopkins, 71-70. On Tuesday night Johnson participated in the three point contest in Houston, and won it! In the actual game, Johnson played 12 minutes and had one rebound and one assist. Johnson helped lead the West to a 110-102 victory.

Nate Dahl from Buffalo was a finalist for Mr. Basketball this year, and helped lead the Bison to the AAAA State Boys Basketball tournament. Dahl avg. 24 ppg and recently was named to the Minnesota High School All Star game at Anoka Ramsey CC on April 1st. Dahl also announced he will attend St.Cloud State to play basketball. Dahl, will be the fourth Bison on the upcoming season roster for the Huskies.
