A Memorial Mass is scheduled for today (Friday) for a Buffalo woman who died last week in a traffic crash on Highway 25 in Buffalo near the Buffalo Walmart entrance.
91-year-old Laura Mae Hoffman died when the Buick sedan she was a passenger in collided with a Trailblazer Transit transport bus.
Laura Mae and her husband, Edward, raised their family in Rockford, and later on a farm north of Howard Lake. She had most recently lived in Buffalo.
The Hoffmans were known around Wright County for their love of music, and their singing and playing with various groups from the region.
The Memorial Mass for Laura Mae Hoffman will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly, where she was a member for more than 60 years.
The family asks that in memory of Laura Mae, those who attend the services should wear a “Touch of Green.”
