Memorial Services to be Held Thursday for Well Known Annandale Man, Former Fire Chief, Scott Picken

Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday in Annandale for a longtime area resident, and former Annandale Fire Chief.

Scott Picken passed away October 9th while battling cancer. He was 71 years old.

Scott was a 1972 graduate of Annandale High School. He and his wife, Carol raised their family in Annandale.

Scott began his working career with Payco, then worked for more than 30 years as the maintenance director at the Annandale Care Center.

He also volunteered with the Annandale Fire Department for more than 40 years. Through the years he served in roles that included Trainer, Assistant Chief, and Fire Chief, and for a time, also served in the role of gambling manager for Annandale Fire Relief. Scott also was a first responder with North Ambulance for more than 20 years.

In his early years, he was also a member of the Annandale Jaycees.

Memorial services for Scott Picken area scheduled for Thursday at 11 AM at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale.
