Minnesota Traffic Safety officials say it’s been an extremely deadly start to the year for motorcycle riders. 37 motorcycle fatalities on Minnesota roads had been recorded at the approximate halfway point of summer, compared to 24 at the same time last year…
“About half the time the attributed cause can be a mistake by the motorcycle rider but the other half of the time it is clearly the mistake of the motor vehicle operator. Again, back to the core of my message road safety is everybody’s business. We’re all in this together.”
Office of Traffic Safety Director Mike Hanson says there are dozens of motorcycle training centers around the state and they are recommended for riders of all levels.
