Multiple Wright County area residents were injured as four vehicles collided in nearby Corcoran in recent days.
The State Patrol reports that around 5:15 PM on Friday, May 22nd, a 2015 Honda Accord passenger car and a Toyota Corolla sedan were both westbound on Highway 55 at Pioneer trail. Meanwhile, a Hyundai Palisade SUV, and a 2007 Honda Accord were eastbound on Highway 55 at the same intersection.
Officials say the westbound Honda collided with the SUV, causing the Palisade to collide with the Toyota sedan. The eastbound Honda Accord then also collided with the Hyundai.
The most serious injuries were sustained by the driver of the Toyota passenger car. 48-year-old Andrea Berens of Rockford had life-threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
The driver of the Hyundai SUV, 18-year-old Wyatt Anderson, and a passenger in the vehicle, 48-year-old Dawn Anderson, both of Buffalo, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were also transported to North Memorial.
The driver of the 2015 Honda, a 16-year-old male who was not identified, and a passenger, a 16-year-old female from Rockford were not injured.
The driver of the 2007 Honda, 19-year-old Jake Yost of Buffalo, also escaped injury.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, Medina and Corcoran Police, Plymouth and West Hennepin Fire Departments, MnDOT, and North Memorial EMS all assisted the State Patrol.
