Planting native plants in your garden this year could be a huge help to our local pollinators.
Minnesota Horticulture Society Board Member Renay Leone says those native plants can help pollinators do their jobs…
“And frankly, one of their jobs is feeding each other. So many insects, people are worried about insects in their garden. But what we’re finding is that many native plants are actually a little bit less attractive to many of the pollinators and other insects in your garden. So again, if you have a lot of variety, that’s going to help you have a better looking garden.”
Leone says you should also do the right research and make sure you’re not planting any invasive species in your garden.
