One person was injured Wednesday morning when a passenger car collided with a semi truck on Highway 169 in Elk River.
The State Patrol reports that around 10:25 Wednesday morning, the semi and a Toyota passenger car were both northbound on 169 when they collided at Milepost 159.
Injured in the crash was a passenger in the Toyota sedan, 84-year-old Karen Aamodt of Elk River. She sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. The driver of the Toyota, 56-year-old Jennifer Ehemann of Hurlock, North Dakota, was not injured.
The driver of the semi, 22-year-old David Yukhimchuk of St. Michael, also escaped injury.
The Elk River Police, Fire Department and Ambulance team assisted the State Patrol.
