One person was injured when an SUV collided with a school bus Thursday morning near Clear Lake.
The State Patrol reports that around 7:45 AM, the school bus and the SUV were both traveling on Highway 24. The bus was southbound, while the Ford Escape SUV was northbound when the vehicles collided near Milepost 46.
No passengers were on the school bus at the time of the crash, and the bus driver, 76-year-old Donald Cook of St. Cloud, was not injured. The State Patrol did not indicate what school district the bus served.
The driver of the SUV, 48-year-old Joleen Aguilar of Clear Lake, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Monticello Hospital.
The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, Clear Lake Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance also responded to the crash.
