One person from our region was injured when three vehicles collided Thursday morning in neighboring Sherburne County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that around 7:45 Thursday morning, a passenger car, an SUV and a pickup truck collided on westbound Highway 10 in Haven Township.
Officials say a Ford Fusion sedan was stopped in the lane for traffic when it was rear-ended by a Ford F-150 pickup. The impact pushed the Fusion into a collision with a Honda Passport SUV that was also stopped in traffic.
The only injury in the crash was to a passenger in the Ford Fusion. 17-year-old Lillian Bonsante of Becker sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. The driver of the Ford sedan, 43-year-old Shannon Schollhedquist of Becker was not injured.
The driver of the Ford pickup, 18-year-old Jacob Lauermann of Clear Lake, the driver of the Honda SUV, 67-year-old Garret Schrupp of Chanhassen, and a passenger in the Honda, 65-year-old Douglas Knapp of Minnetonka, also escaped injury.
The St. Cloud Police Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
