Pickup Driver Injured in Crash With Semi Chassis in Elk River

One driver was injured when a pickup truck collided with a semi-truck chassis in the City of Elk River on Thursday morning.

The State Patrol reports that just before 11 AM, the Freightliner truck chassis was traveling on 171st Avenue Northwest, while a Chevy Silverado pickup was eastbound on Highway 10. The vehicles collided at the intersection.

Injured in the crash was the driver of the pickup, 19-year-old Dylan Davidson of Andover. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids for treatment. Meanwhile the driver of the Freightliner truck, 56-year-old Steven Radeke of Becker, was not injured.

The Elk River Police and Fire Departments, the Elk River Ambulance team, and the Ramsey Police Department assisted at the scene.
