Two special forums are planned for this week in our area featuring the candidates for the November 4th special election in Minnesota Senate District 29. You’ll remember that the Minnesota Senate seat is open due to the unexpected death earlier this summer of longtime State Senator Bruce Anderson of Buffalo.
Wednesday evening, Republican Michael Holmstrom, Jr. and DFL’er Louis McNutt, both from Buffalo, will discuss issues as a part of the forum at the Monticello Community Center hosted by the Monticello Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The evening will get started at 6 PM, with a one-hour question and answer segment on the Monticello school district levy question. The Senate District 29 forum will follow at 7 PM.
Then on Thursday, the candidates will meet again, in a forum at the Delano City Hall. Thursday’s forum begins at 6:30 PM, and is hosted by the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce.
