While tens of thousands of Minnesotans gathered on the grounds of the state capitol on Saturday for one of many nationwide “No Kings” rallies, some lighter local response was also seen.
Smaller groups of peaceful protesters with signs gathered mainly at visible intersections, bridge overpasses, and other locations around Wright County.
One such gathering was along Highway 12 in Cokato, where one protester told KRWC’s Kendell Kubasch that response was generally friendly…
“I think it’s overall…supportive to be honest. I’d like them to know that if they’re questioning what’s going on in the government, that’s a good thing, because we should question what the government is doing – no matter what side of the aisle.”
Similar small rallies were held during the day on Saturday along areas of I-94 and along some of the major highways in and around Wright County.
