SOAR Regional Arts Presents “Anne of Green Gables” Beginning Tonight (Thursday)

SOAR Regional Arts presents the first of five performances this weekend of the stage adaptation of L. M. Montgomery’s classic children’s novel, “Anne of Green Gables.”

The story follows siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, owners of the Green Gables farm on Prince Edward Island. When they plan to adopt a boy to work as a farmhand, the pair are shocked to discover they’ve actually adopted a girl, the free-spirited Anne Shirley. The heartfelt play follows Anne as she navigates to find her place on the farm, in the community, in the world, and in her new family’s heart.

Performances of “Anne of Green Gables” will be tonight (Thursday), also Friday and Saturday nights at 7 PM, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2 PM at the STMA Middle School West auditorium. The Saturday evening performance will include ASL interpretation.
