Spring Clean-Up Days This Weekend in Buffalo, Watertown, Winsted

This weekend marks this first of many community clean-ups that happen each spring in and around Wright County.

In Buffalo, the annual Spring Clean-Up Days will be going on today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) from 8 AM to 2 PM outside the Buffalo Civic Center. City residents may dispose of a wide variety of items including appliances, tires, electronics and other items. A fee will be charged for disposal of items. The event is open to City of Buffalo residents only, and visitors will be asked to present identification with proof of residence prior to disposing of their items.

Also on Saturday, the City of Watertown will host its 37th Annual Spring Community Cleanup from 8 AM to 11 AM at the Watertown Community Park on Carver County Road 20. The clean-up is limited to Watertown residents only, and a fee will be charged depending on the items brought in.

Also this weekend, a similar clean-up day will be held Saturday at the Waste Management headquarters in the City of Winsted for residents of that community. The event will run from 8 AM to 12 noon with similar requirements in place.

Numerous other spring clean-up events will be held in the coming weeks in various other communities and townships throughout the area. Check with your city or township officials if you have questions regarding spring clean-ups.
