This weekend marks this first of many community clean-ups that happen each spring in and around Wright County.
In Buffalo, the annual Spring Clean-Up Days continue today (Saturday) from 8 AM to 1 PM outside the Buffalo Civic Center. City residents may dispose of a wide variety of items including appliances, tires, electronics and other items. A fee will be charged for disposal of items. The event is open to City of Buffalo residents only, and visitors will be asked to present identification with proof of residence prior to disposing of their items.
Also today (Saturday), the City of Watertown will host its annual Spring Community Cleanup from 8 AM to 11 AM at the Watertown Community Park on Carver County Road 20. The clean-up is limited to Watertown residents only, and a fee will be charged depending on the items brought in.
The City of Winsted also will host a similar clean-up day today (Saturday) for residents of that community at the Waste Management headquarters. The event will run from 8 AM to 12 noon with similar requirements in place.
Numerous other spring clean-up events will be held in the coming weeks in various other communities and townships throughout the area. Check with your city or township officials if you have questions regarding spring clean-ups.
