Another candidate has come forward for the Wright County District 4 Commissioner seat which is up for election this fall.
Lifelong St. Michael resident, former Wright County Sheriff’s Department employee, and current STMA School Board member Drew Scherber has announced that he is a candidate for the District 4 position.
In an announcement on Facebook, Scherber noted 30 years of service with the Sheriff’s Office, and 20-plus years on the St. Michael-Albertville School Board. He also noted serving a term on the St. Michael City Council.
Scherber’s announcement highlighted goals of common-sense leadership and fiscal responsibility to county government. He said ensuring efficient county services while maintaining the high standard of public safety were among his top priorities.
Scherber will challenge current District 4 Commissioner Nadine Schoen, who in recent days announced she would seek another term on the Wright County Board.
