Teen Driver Injured in SUV vs. Semi Crash in Elk River

One person was injured Thursday afternoon when an SUV collided with a semi truck in Elk River.

The State Patrol reports the crash happened around 4:30 PM on U-S Highway 10 at 165th Avenue Northwest in Elk River.

Authorities say the Mercedes SUV was westbound on Highway 10 when it collided with the semi that was attempting to cross westbound Highway 10.

The driver of the SUV, a 16-year-old female from Ramsey, had non-life threatening injuries and was treated at an area hospital. The driver of the semi, 68-year-old Anthony Hanf of Becker, was not injured.

The Elk River Police and Fire Departments, and Allina Ambulance assisted State Troopers.
