Two Drivers Injured in 3-Vehicle Traffic Crash Saturday Afternoon in Rockford Township

Two drivers were injured Saturday afternoon when three SUVs collided on Highway 55 near County Road 33 in Rockford Township.

The State Patrol reports that around 4 PM, a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Mazda CX-5 were westbound on Highway 55 when they collided. A GMC Envoy was eastbound on Highway 55 at the time the westbound SUVs collided, and also became involved in the crash.

The driver of the Hyundai, 24-year-old Andrea Waterhouse of Buffalo, and the driver of the Mazda, 23-year-old Olivia Duo of Plymouth both suffered non-life threatening injuries. Waterhouse was treated at the Buffalo Hospital, while the Plymouth woman was treated at the Maple Grove Hospital.

The driver of the GMC vehicle, 17-year-old Noah Frieler of Buffalo, and two passengers, 18-year-old Jake Larkin, and 18-year-old Erik Salhus, both of Buffalo, all escaped injury.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Rockford Fire Department and Allina Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
