Two Injured in Car vs. Motorcycle Crash in Rockford

Two people were injured when a car struck a motorcycle Wednesday evening in Rockford.

The State Patrol reports that around 6:20 PM, a Chevy Cruze passenger car was westbound on Highway 55 when it struck a BMW motorcycle. Photos from the crash scene appeared to show that the car then proceeded across the eastbound lanes, crashing into the west corner of a retail building near the intersection.

The rider of the motorcycle, 55-year-old Sloss Bryant of Wayzata, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Buffalo Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Chevy passenger car, 24-year-old Derek Bursch of Maple Lake had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, the Rockford Fire Department, and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
