Two people were injured in a freeway traffic crash Wednesday afternoon in St. Michael.
The State Patrol reports that around 3:30 PM, a GMC pickup was westbound on I-94, while a Chevy Equinox SUV was also westbound on the freeway. Officials say the vehicles collided near Milepost 203.
Injured in the crash was the driver of the SUV, 74-year-old Shirley Mohs, and a passenger, 53-year-old Rana Thomas, both from St. Cloud. Both women were taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup, 57-year-old Stewart Schwinghammer of St. Augusta, was not injured.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, St. Michael and Albertville Fire Departments, and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
