A local man was involved in a two-vehicle traffic crash early Friday evening in the City of Elk River.
The State Patrol reports that shortly before 7 PM Friday, a Ford Fusion passenger car and a Ford F-150 pickup collided on Highway 10 in Elk River.
Authorities say both the sedan and the pickup were westbound on Highway 10 near 167th Street when they collided.
The driver of the pickup, and a passenger were both injured in the crash. The driver, 77-year-old Eugene Demars, and a passenger, 76-year-old Lona Demars, both from Zimmerman, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and were treated at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
The driver of the Ford passenger car, 40-year-old Steve Meyer of Maple Lake, was not injured.
The Elk River Police and Fire Departments, and the Elk River Ambulance assisted at the scene.
