Two people were injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash Sunday evening in neighboring McLeod County.
The State Patrol reports that just before 7 PM, an Audi A3 passenger car was westbound on Highway 212 when it collided with a Buick Envision SUV that was northbound on Highway 15 in Sumter Township.
Officials say the driver of the Audi, 44-year-old Gary Pfeiffer of Mankato sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Glencoe Regional Health Center. Meanwhile, the driver of the Buick SUV, 77-year-old Arlyn Wendlant of Litchfield was not injured, but a passenger in the vehicle, 78-year-old Donna Wendlant, also of Litchfield, had non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Hutchinson Hospital.
The Brownton Fire Department, McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hutchinson and Glencoe Ambulance teams assisted at the scene of the crash.
