Two Injured in SUV vs. Semi Crash in Monticello

Two people were injured Thursday afternoon when an SUV collided with a semi truck in Monticello.

The State Patrol reports that around 4:45 PM, a Jeep Cherokee was southbound on Highway 25, and was turning east onto 4th Street in the City of Monticello when it collided with the semi in the intersection.

The driver of the SUV, 34-year-old Jade Cheneau of Albertville, and a passenger, 34-year-old Eddrick Richardson of St. Anthony, both had non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. The driver of the semi, 56-year-old Michael Wigton of Isanti, was not injured.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office and CentraCare EMS assisted at the crash scene.
