Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Traffic Crash Sunday in Litchfield

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle traffic crash Sunday afternoon in the community of Litchfield in neighboring Meeker County.

The State Patrol reports that around 4:30 PM, a Chrysler passenger car was eastbound on Highway 12 at Johnson Drive in Litchfield. The Chrysler was turning left when it collided with a westbound Ford SUV. The impact of the crash caused the passenger car to strike a third vehicle, a Toyota mini-van.

The driver of the Chrysler sedan, 81-year-old Ralph Gilmer of Litchfield, and the driver of the Ford SUV, 38-year-old Zachary Ledeboer of Benson, both sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers were treated at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.

The driver of the Toyota mini-van, 66-year-old Randy Anderson of Dassel, had minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

The Litchfield Police and Fire Departments, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance assisted the State Patrol.
