Two Injured in Tuesday Afternoon Traffic Crash in Clearwater

Two people were injured when an SUV collided with a pickup truck in the City of Clearwater Tuesday afternoon.

The State Patrol reports that just after 3:30 PM, a Dodge Ram pickup was southbound on Highway 24 while a Chevy Equinox SUV was turning onto southbound Highway 24 from Ash Avenue, and the vehicles collided in the intersection.

Injured in the crash was the driver of the pickup, 61-year-old Mark Banker of Clearwater and a female passenger in the truck, 50-year-old Chittiporn Banker, also of Clearwater. Both occupants of the pickup were treated for non-life threatening injuries at the Monticello Hospital.

The driver of the SUV, 76-year-old Arlys Jacobson of Hawick, Minnesota, was not injured.
